Without
a doubt, working with the world’s largest retailer was
beyond the dreams of even Cheffy Baby. The first time
we worked with Wal-Mart SuperCenters was at Florida
Citrus when we were putting together the 1997 campaign.
Wal-Mart was on the idea of in-store posters etc. When
the FDOC asked me to meet with Wal-Mart SuperCenter
industry super star and Cheffy hero Bruce Peterson,
we jumped at the chance. After our presentation to Bruce,
not only were Cheffy’s “Amaze a Chicken” posters etc
allowed, a Cheffy Baby Grapefruit looping video was
set up next to the grapefruit bin. It must have been
successful because two years later Wal-Mart started
a new in-store campaign which we called “Wal-Mart SuperCenter
Super Minute.”
For three years
Cheffy created, appeared, wrote, produced, directed
over 100 videos in four different departments in over
1000 stores and was seen by approximately ten million
customers weekly and distributed over 24 million Cheffy
Baby recipe cards.
Cheffy also
held in-store coking demonstration for 3 SuperCenter
grand openings for Try-Foods Int. in 2001. Cheffy also
had the privilege of presenting his programs at 2 Wal-Mart
Associates meeting in Kansas City and Dallas. We can’t
say enough about Bruce Peterson or Wal-Mart SuperCenters.
